  • How to Install a Tennis Center Anchor

It’s not uncommon for a tennis strap anchor to become loose over time. When a tennis net is properly tensioned, it can put a lot of stress on the center strap anchor.

Our 3-step guide on how to install a tennis center anchor below can help to keep your anchor from becoming dislodged:

  1. Center straps are used to insure that the center of the net is exactly 3’ above the playing surface. Straps are height adjustable and are fitted into a ground anchor.

The center strap anchor is set in a concrete foundation usually measuring 12” in diameter with a minimum depth of 12”. The anchor is fitted with a cross pin below the surface of the court.
  2. It is important that the top of the ground anchor be installed flush with the court surface and parallel with the net line to avoid twisting the center strap.
  3. See Diagram below for more information.
